Hi, can you tell me whether the cases we have made against the various developments
take account of the risk of flooding.

A look at the Environment Agency flood-map indicates that most of these developments
would be in Flood Zone 2 (medium probability) or, more likely, Flood Zone 3 (high probability).

The Doncaster MBC Draft Supplementary Planning Document on Flooding-Planning describes
in figure1/page 21, the various categories of risk and where they lead to planning permission being refused or granted. This draft document is being subjected to public consultation for a four week period, which ends on March 26th.

So my questions are;-

a. Has flooding risk been taken into account in our arguments?
b. Could it be of any use to us? If so we have only a few days left to sort it out.

Congratulations to the organisers. A brave move to go ahead considering the weather and conditions underfoot. A gamble that paid off.

Let’s do it again in the spring / summer to sample our hinterland in different conditions. On the other hand let’s hope we do not have to as there has not been an appeal.

I am concerned that this development is a travellers site, as there are plenty of sewer type things and electrics there. why has this not been published. My mother’s house is on Tudworth road and there has been no DMBC notices delivered or put up around there, ever. I do hope the Bradholme development is finished, and the companies concerned do not appeal as the DMBC have little money or inclination to fight these applications, and the DEW project is another “white Elephant” which we will be lumbered with.

More meetings intended for the villages surrounding the Hatfield Power Park. Have had discussions with many Thorne residents who are feeling very let down by the Bradholme proposal – they also had no idea about what is happening at the old pit site at Stainforth. The traffic and all that goes with it will be horrendous. If we do not get something done, the whole region will be an Industrial area with no regard for quality of life.

Does anyone know what is going on at at the Hatfield side of Tudworth roundabout it looks like a slip road has been formed but I have not seen a planning application or anything relating to to it has anyone else?

Attended 2nd meeting last evening and as before I was extremely impressed by the hard work undertaken by the RAID group, WELL DONE! The meeting was well presented and contained lots of facts not known to us. Thank you for your enthusiasm and hard work and keep it up. I hope more people will help as this is the only way we have a chance to put a stop to this horrendous project going ahead.

Attended last night 10/08/2009. Tried to get to know more facts in the last year but have been constantly fobbed off by misleading facts and statements. Had Yorkshire Post down in my garden filming recently they couldnt believe it was going to go ahead without a fight. More people must now get involved. This project MUST BE STOPPED.
